The Gold Senior/Pensioner Opal card is now available to interstate seniors and asylum seekers.
If you are a pensioner from any Australian state and territory, NSW Senior or ACT Senior go to the “Continue ordering an Opal card” button below to apply for the Gold Senior/Pensioner Opal card.
ACT Seniors Card numbers must have 9 digits to be valid. If your card has fewer than 9 digits, you will need to apply for a new ACT Seniors MyWay Card at the Council on the Ageing office, an ACT Government Library, or an Access Canberra Shopfront. Please allow up to 7 working days for your new Seniors Myway card to be registered in the system before applying for your Gold Opal card.
To confirm your eligibility, we will need to validate your details with your card provider. In some cases this can take time. We recommend including your email or phone number with your application, so we can contact you when the outcome is confirmed.
Once your eligibility is confirmed your new Gold Opal card will be mailed to you within 7-10 working days.

If you’re a senior coming from interstate (except ACT) with an Australian State or Territory Government issued Seniors Card and don’t hold a Pensioner Concession card, you cannot apply online here. You can find out more details on how to apply here
