Travel with Opal during NAIDOC Week

Each July, National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC) Week events are held around Australia to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

NAIDOC Week will run from 8 to 15 July this year and Sydney has been selected to host the National NAIDOC Awards Ceremony.

A number of events are being held in the greater Sydney area. If you're catching public transport to participate in NAIDOC Week celebrations, use the Trip Planner to see your travel options. Visit NAIDOC Week for further event details.

Tapping on and off with an Opal card ensures you pay the cheapest fare for your trip. Additional card benefits such as daily travel caps, off-peak train fares and $2.70 capped travel on Sundays also apply.

We acknowledge the traditional owners and custodians of the land and pay our respects to Elders past, present and future.
